However, they are heavier than softshells, and that means that the vehicle will spend more in gas. If you need an RTT for 4 people, it’ll be bigger than one for 2, and normally heavier. Same applies for those models that include roof racks. Our advice, if you are already buying a hardshell, you know it’ll be heavy; so a few extra pounds here and there will not make a difference.
