After arriving at the destination, how to set up the roof tent? There are two options: unfolding or pop-up. Both ways are faster than traditional ground tents.
Deployable: This is the most common type of soft-shell roof tent. Just remove the travel cover, extend the ladder, and unfold the tent. Adjust the ladder to reach the ground, and you’re good to go!
Pop-Up: This is the most common type of hard-shell roof tent. Just release the lock and the tent will pop open in one step!
How long does it take to open the roof top tent?
Some roof-top tent enthusiasts are curious to know the exact answer. Based on time records, most roof top tents can be opened and used in about an average of 3 to 4 minutes.
It takes slightly longer to open the tent, install the windows and canopy poles, about 4 to 6 minutes. Hard shell tents are quicker to install because additional tools such as canopy poles are not required.
Where can I camp with a roof top tent?
Tent can be pitched anywhere camping is allowed. Camping is allowed at campgrounds, some national parks, or designated parking areas. Please refer to the guidelines issued by the relevant local authorities to find out if self-driving camping is allowed.
