Tips for family camping

Which type of tent is best for families?
It depends on the type of trip. The weight and wind resistance of the tent are important considerations if you’re going to carry it with you while hiking. The tent must be large enough to accommodate the entire family, and ideally have a “side room” (covered area outside the tent) for extra space in the rain and for luggage storage.

Tips for parent-child camping:

1. Make sure to bring enough snacks!
2. Add extra activities in the middle of your camping trip
3. Choose a campsite where the kids can play safely and have a good time.
4. Don’t forget your sleeping doll or your favorite doll.
5. Invite friends to join in on a camping trip, or ask older kids to bring a friend.
6. Find little things to hold your child accountable for that make them feel important and involved. This could be pitching a tent, arranging sleeping bags inside the tent, distributing snacks, or packing your own bag for camping.
